The HIP License and the GA Waterfowl Conservation License are no longer available. These were combined into the new Georgia Migratory Bird Stamp. This stamp is always additionally needed for anyone 16 and older to hunt migratory birds including dove and waterfowl, and cost $5.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Wildlife Resources Division issues hunting licenses.
What You Should Know:
- Annual, regular hunting licenses cost state residents $15 and non-residents $100. An additional license is required to hunt big game (bear, deer, and turkey) and costs $25 for state residents and $225 for non-residents. Discounted 1-day licenses are also available.
- Additional free and paid licenses are required for certain activities such as hunting or accessing certain state lands, hunting waterfowl and migratory birds, a harvest record for deer hunting, and for other activities.
- Other license options for residents include 2-year licenses, combo hunting/fishing licenses, all inclusive sportsman’s licenses, lifetime licenses, senior licenses, veteran’s options, and disability licenses.

How do I replace my lost copy of my hunting license?
Reprint your license for free by logging into your Go Outdoors Georgia online account. To login, you’ll just need to enter your name, date of birth, and one of the following:
- Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number,
- Department of Natural Resources Customer ID,
- Driver’s license or state ID number,
- Passport number,
- U.S. travel visa number, or
- Green card number.
Why do I need to submit my Social Security Number when I apply for my hunting license?
In order to strengthen and enforce child support laws, both state and federal laws require you to disclose your Social Security Number.

What is HIP?
A HIP number is required if you hunt migratory game birds in Indiana. If you hunt any of the species below, a HIP number is required in addition to any license requirements.
